The Flagstaff Unified School District has announced schools will stay canceled through April 3rd due to the coronavirus pandemic. The district’s governing board approved the decision Wednesday morning. As a result, beginning Monday, March 23rd there will be multiple “grab and go” breakfast and lunch meals available for any child ages 18 and under. The pickup locations will be at Coconino High School and Cromer, Killip, Kinsey, Leupp, Marshall and Thomas elementary schools. Kids don’t have to be a student at those schools, or at an FUSD school, to be served. The resolution also assures district employees will continue to be paid through the closure. Also, instructional opportunities and resources will be made available to FUSD students and families no later than March 30th. For more information log onto fusd1.org/Covit-19.
