The Fourth of July is always a busy day in Flagstaff and this year is no exception. Kicking off the day is the Downtown Mile, which features many races around downtown. Races begin at 7 a.m. The annual Flagstaff Fourth of July Parade will take place at 9 a.m. starting down Beaver Street, heading over on Aspen then back up San Francisco Street. Join KAFF News’ Dave Zorn and Chrissy from Hits 106 in front of Late for the Train for all the fun. Eddie Miller and Brittney Patton will be next to Dark Skies Brewery at the beginning of the parade. There will be over 100 entries in the parade this year, including the 108th Arizona Army Band for the first time. Make sure to get there early for a good seat. Right after the parade head to Fort Tuthill for the Festival In The Pines from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m, which includes a performance by the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra at 2 p.m. at Pepsi Amphitheater. Admission is free. There will also be a couple places to enjoy fireworks this year. Twin Arrows Casino will have their own celebration with fireworks at 9 p.m. Log onto twinarrows.com for more information. Then there’s Lights on the Lawn at Continental Country Club, with fireworks at around 8:30 p.m.
