Flagstaff Police officers were busy during this past weekend’s snowstorm. Officials say between January 20th and the 23rd, they responded to around 213 calls for service regarding snow-related issues. Of the calls, 149 vehicle owners were issued citations for winter ordinance violations, 14 calls were for stuck vehicles or vehicle slide-offs, 31 calls were for collisions and 19 calls were for winter ordinance related vehicle removals. Flagstaff Police reminds residents to not park on city streets during winter parking ordinance restrictions. The person will receive a citation and possibly have their vehicle towed. Also, don’t park in “No Parking” zones for snow play and don’t block streets, driveways, trashcans, mailboxes, or fire hydrants when utilizing snow play areas. If you do, you will receive a citation and possibly have your vehicle towed.
