Flagstaff Fire crews battled a house fire early Saturday morning in the Sunnyside neighborhood. Crews were called to the home in the two-thousand block of Second Street at around 12:30 a.m. First arriving crews found an active fire burning in the attic of the single-story home, with heavy smoke and flames. All of the occupants inside the home safely got out of the house. Firefighters performed a rapid search of the home for additional threats and fire extension and secured utilities. More than 12 firefighters were on scene for over three hours to put out the fire and make sure the area was safe. The home isn’t a total loss, however an estimated damage cost has not been determined. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
