Flagstaff, Coconino and Prescott advanced into the 4A state playoffs with play-in wins Thursday night. The Coconino Panthers had to scrap to beat the Thunderbolts from Mica Mountain, 66-56. Flagstaff lead pretty much from the second quarter on as they beat Buckeye 80-71. Prescott led for most of the game as they beat Thunderbird 80-70. Bradshaw Mountain and Rio Rico went back and forth for the entire game, but the Bears couldn’t hit shots late in the game as they fell to the Hawks on the road 62-57. Brackets for the 4A state playoffs will be known Saturday morning starting at 8 a.m. at aiapreps365.com.
