The Flagstaff City Council passed the first phase, rezone and development agreement for the proposed Northern Arizona Healthcare Health and Wellness Village at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, giving the Phase One of the project a greenlight. All three items passed with a 6-0 vote with Vice Mayor Austin Aslan not attending the vote either in person, online or by phone. Some of the adjustments made to the development agreement, which includes NAH paying 50-percent of the cost of a new fire station and would pay 100-percent of the widening of Beulah Boulevard, whether the city gets a grant or not. The new campus will a new 700-thousand square-foot hospital and ambulatory services, which will be located on nearly 173 acres just north of Fort Tuthill County Park and just to the west of Interstate-17.
