Flagstaff City Council To Discuss A Resolution Pertaining To Affordable Housing In Flagstaff Tuesday

The Flagstaff City Council will hold its bi-weekly meeting Tuesday afternoon at City Hall. Among the items on the agenda is a resolution that will be discussed that would make the development of affordable housing for Flagstaff residents, a priority. The resolution states housing would be “at a range of income levels as determined by current needs on lands owned by the City of Flagstaff that are made available for development.” This would involve city property located in desirable locations for residential development with access to employment, community amenities, walkable neighborhoods and transit options. The resolution is intended to clarify, within the ten-year housing plan, that any residential development should be affordable and made available to permanent Flagstaff residents. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 3 p.m. in council chambers. If you can’t attend the meeting, you can watch on the city’s website or the city’s YouTube channel.
