The Coconino Panthers needed a win to possibly cement a spot in the 4A play-in round, but the Flagstaff Eagles wanted to play spoiler as their season would come to an end Tuesday. Flagstaff’s Mike Becenti hit a three-pointer with two seconds to play to lead the Eagles to a 48-45 win over Coconino, in a game played in the afternoon due to a winter storm hitting Flagstaff. Troy Yazzie led the Eagles with 24 points in his last game at Flagstaff. Walter Downs added 11 and Becenti had eight in the win. Brennan Motes scored 21 for the Panthers in the loss. Now Coconino will wait for the brackets to be released Wednesday to see if they still made the playoffs.
