If you are looking for some place to see fireworks this weekend, the selection is pretty thin thanks to extreme fire danger in Northern Arizona. The only fireworks shows planned in Northern Arizona is in Winslow on Sunday at Winslow High School, however no spectators will be allowed inside the football stadium this year. Also on Sunday in Prescott Valley, there’s the July 4th Celebration at Mountain Valley Park and at Watson Lake it’s the City of Prescott’s Fourth of July celebration. The City of Cottonwood is also having their fireworks show this year at Cottonwood’s 22nd Annual Fantastic Family Fourth of July at Cottonwood Kids Park. There will also be “drive-up” fireworks on the Navajo Nation this year. Firework events are set for Tuba City, Window Rock, Chinle and in Shiprock, New Mexico. All fireworks shows start just after dusk.
