A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of Northern and Eastern Arizona until 8 p.m. The National Weather Service says expect winds 20-to-30 miles per hour with gusts 45-to-55 miles an hour at times. Humdity levels will be around 12-to-22 percent, which makes conditions ripe for the spread of a wildfire. The warning is in effect for areas in the Coconino, Kaibab and Prescott national forests including: Flagstaff, Williams, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Page, the Grand Canyon and the Navajo Nation. If you are traveling across Northern Arizona, especially in a high profile vehicle, use caution. Also, if you’re pulling a trailer, make sure chains are up off the highway and don’t toss cigarettes out of your vehicle. One spark could start a fire that could spread very quickly.
