The large Prescott Valley apartment complex, that was destroyed by fire, is being demolished. AZ Demolition and contractor, Signal Restoration is working on the final phase of the demolition of the Legado Apartments. Back in April, the 685-thousand square foot building, and adjacent parking structure, was under construction at the time the fire started. When the first crews arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames and was deemed a complete loss. The estimated value of loss to the structure is $60-million. The fire was ruled an arson, and so far there have been no arrests made in the case. In this phase of demolition, clearing and separating debris away from the parking structure will lead to the actual demolition of the concrete parking structure. Clean up and haul off will most likely start next week. The Fain Signature Group, owners of the property tell KAFF News they are looking into building the complex again, but not right away. They say, “at this time Fain Signature Group is moving forward with studies on how to possibly rebuild and further information on the future of the project is to come.” Demolition is planned to continue through mid-August. During this time eastbound Florentine remains closed until further notice.
