Fire growth on both the Pipeline and Haywire fires is minimal as Monsoon thunderstorms are in the forecast going forward. Currently, over 26-thousand acres have burned on the Pipeline Fire, with 70-percent containment. Nearly 56-hundred acres have burned on the Haywire Fire with 60-percent containment. On the Pipeline Fire, on the southwest edge from Fremont Peak running north toward the Inner Basin Trailhead, crews are monitoring fire progression and will engage as necessary. On the Haywire Fire, favorable conditions allowed for the gain of additional containment in the northwestern perimeter of the fire. Crews will continue to monitor and patrol containment lines on both fires. . There are 700 firefighters currently working the two fires.
