Ex-Girlfriend Arrested For Stealing Ex-Boyfriend’s Cellphone And Two Dogs

A Cottonwood woman has been arrested after she broke into her ex-boyfriend’s motel room and stole his cellphone and his two dogs. Police were called to the 900 block of South Camino Real at around 4 a.m. Sunday. The suspect, 39-year-old Melissa Jean Manier, was found at a different motel where officers found the man’s hotel room master key, his phone and the two dogs and had been drinking. Back on August 20th, Manier was arrested and charged with felony DUI and aggravate assault per domestic violence after she ran the man over in the 600 block of East Date Street. As part of her conditions of her release, she was to remain a law abiding citizen at all times and not have any contact with the victim, or consume alcohol. Manier was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center for burglary, theft and interfering with judicial proceedings. She is currently in custody without bond.
