The vacant seat on the Flagstaff City Council could be filled Tuesday afternoon. Council holds their regular meeting starting at 3 p.m. and one of the first items on the agenda is consideration of appointing a new councilmember to replace former Vice Mayor Becky Daggett, who had to resign her seat to run for mayor. Council will choose from former councilman Al White, small business owner Alethea Karlin, former judge Joe Washington, current Director of Community Engagement for Bella Investments Group, Khara House, former City of Sedona sustainability manager McKenzie Jones and Sexual Assault Response Coordinator for Victim Witness Services for Coconino County, and former lobbyist, Samantha Stone. The term will expire on December 20th. Seating is available in council chambers, or you can watch the proceedings on the city’s website.
