Flagstaff Medical Center Nurse Practitioner, Emilie Bowers, and Verde Valley Medical Center Nurse Practitioner, Tarra Young, have both officially been awarded the title of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Advanced Practice Provider of the Year. Both Tarra and Emilie were acknowledged on their respect, attitude, and overall care of their patients. Emilie received her undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University. She worked at Flagstaff Medical Center shortly after graduation, then left to work for other organizations for eight years, but decided Flagstaff is where she wanted to stay. Emilie has been at Flagstaff Medical Center ever since, and is a board certified Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Tarra received her master’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She specializes in a holistic approach and has a background in critical care nursing.
