An eight-year-old girl was killed and three other girls were injured after an OHV accident near Forest Lakes on the Mogollon Rim Sunday. Coconino County Sheriff’s officials received a report of an accident at around 11:02 a.m. on Forest Service Road 99 and Heber Wildcat Road. The girls were in the vehicle when it rolled over. It isn’t clear who was driving at the time. The report also noted CPR was underway with one of the juveniles involved. A CCSO deputy, a Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer and a Game and Fish officer responded to the scene, along with a Forest Lakes Fire crew. When they arrived they found the eight-year-old girl. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Another eight-year-old girl and two 14-year-old girls were injured and airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. All four were from Phoenix. The incident is under investigation.
