Today is Day 13 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ “Catch 22.” Today we focus on finding 35-year-old Armando Morales. Back in July 2019, Morales went to his son’s school in Chino Valley and told staff at the school that he wanted to pick his son up. Morales was not on the child’s contact list, nor did Morales know what grade the child was in. Morales then threatened staff and law enforcement in a note he handed to school staff. Chino Valley Police were called, and officers arrived at the child’s home to assure the safety of the child and their family. Sheriff’s deputies arrived and saw Morales, who then walked away from law enforcement and tried to enter a residence. The doors to the residence were locked because Morales had threatened to kill a family member. Morales then kicked and broke the door open. Deputies attempted an arrest, but Morales proceeded to bite an officer, take another officer to the ground, and attempt to grab a gun from an officers holster multiple times. Morales was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement, three counts of threatening and intimidating, resisting arrest and criminal trespass. Morales was convicted and placed on probation, which he has since broken. He is described as Hispanic male, five-feet-eight-inches-tall, weighing 235 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Morales also has numerous tattoos including a skull on his upper left arm and a chain with a cross on his right hand. Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone with any information that will lead to an arrest. If anyone has information on Morales’ whereabouts, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232, or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
