Crooks Fire Evacuees Can Go Home As The Fire Inches Closer To Full Containment

Those evacuated from the Crooks Fire can go home as of today. At 9 a.m. this morning the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office lifted the evacuations for residents who live in the Lookout Mountain area, Poland Road, Tall Pines Road, Golden Eagle and Short Pines roads and Senator Highway. At the same time, Lookout Mountain moved into “Set” status, with other areas in “Ready.” If property owners get to their residences and find damage to their homes, they can call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 for assistance. The fire has burned over 94-hundred acres and is 89-percent contained.
