Cases of COVID-19 are lower Saturday on the Navajo Nation as the 57-hour curfew continues. Health officials say there were 97 new cases reported Saturday with one more death. The total number of positive cases is 1,637 with 59 deaths overall. There have been 7,393 negative test results out of 9,660 tests administered. Most of the positive cases are in McKinley County, New Mexico with 398. In Arizona, Navajo County has 395 cases, Apache County has 362 cases and Coconino County has 242 cases. More testing is taking place on the reservation, especially in the Monument Valley area and other hot spots on the Navajo Nation. The curfew runs through 5 a.m. Monday.
