Cottonwood Police Chief Steve Gesell Announces Run For State Legislature In District 1

Cottonwood Police Chief Steve Gesell has announced his candidacy for the state legislature in District 1. Gesell made the announcement Friday. Gesell is running as a Republican after serving as a senior manager or chief executive for the past 15 years in four different organizations. Gesell’s key platform areas include supporting police and public safety, election integrity and transparency, border security, protection of First and Second Amendment Rights, quality public education, supporting small businesses and defending Arizonans from government overreach. The new LD1 takes in Yavapai County including Prescott, Cottonwood, Prescott Valley, parts of Sedona and Chino Valley.
