A Cottonwood man was arrested over the weekend after police found over 50 grams of meth, and other drugs, in his vehicle during a traffic stop. Officers stopped 23-year-old Zane Scott at around midnight Saturday for an equipment violation. The officer noticed track marks on Scott’s arm, coupled with extreme nervousness. The officer brought out K9 “Kratos” to do a free air sniff. During the sniff, Kratos found around 51 grams of meth, over 12 grams of heroin, over eight grams of psilocybin mushrooms, various drug paraphernalia, a 9mm handgun and over 900 dollars. Scott was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center on charges related to the incident. He remains in custody on a $50-thousand dollar paper bond.
