Colorado Motorcyclist Was Killed In A Traffic Accident Thursday Morning In Prescott

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Prescott Thursday morning.  Prescott Police were called to the intersection of Willow Creek Road and Dan Carroll Drive at around 9:23 a.m.  Investigators say a 2006 Ford Expedition, driven by a 55-year-old Flagstaff woman, was heading north on Willow Creek Road when she attempted to turn left onto Dan Carroll Drive.  As she turned, she failed to yield to a motorcyclist traveling southbound through the intersection on a 2004 Yamaha R6.  The motorcyclist was a 19-year-old Colorado man.  He sustained severe injuries and was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.  Southbound Willow Creek Road was restricted for several hours due to the investigation.  If anyone witnessed the accident, call Prescott Police at (928) 777-1900.
