Coconino County Search and Rescue teams responded to multiple incidents in a 24 hour period this week. Sheriff’s officials say were busy between Wednesday and Thursday morning. Crews conducted a rescue in West Clear Creek Canyon and rescued a stranded hiker in Sycamore Canyon Wednesday night, with help from Yavapai County crews. Then Thursday morning the sheriff’s office received a call at 3 a.m. of a missing teenager south of Fredonia. He was later found by turkey hunters in good condition after crews searched the area. Officials remind those enjoying the outdoors to be prepared. Make sure you have water, food, extra clothing, a fully-charged cell phone, first aid kit, shelter material, fire-starting kit, pocket knife and signal equipment when you’re in the outdoors.
