Coconino County Superintendent of Schools, Cheryl Mango-Paget, announced the request for nominations for the 10th Annual Teacher of the Year, 5th Annual Rookie Teacher of the Year, and 2nd Annual Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2023 school year. The awards are created to celebrate and recognize full-time teachers pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. If a teacher is nominated, they must submit a detailed essay application with letters of support as well. Five judges will then score the applications to determine to top six candidates in each category, who will then be interviewed by the judges. Judges will then grade the interview and determine the three finalists in each category. To nominate a teacher, you must submit a Coconino County Nomination Form, which is available at Coconino.AZ.Gov/1863/Celebrate. The deadline for nominations is September 15th at 5 p.m. and finalists will be recognized at the awards event in the spring of 2023.
