Coconino County continues to monitor the situation with COVID-19. Health officials say they sent two samples for testing to the Arizona State Public Health Lab. Both came back negative, however a third test is pending. Although there are no confirmed cases in Coconino County, health officials are communicating with community partners, including healthcare providers about recommended guidance and process, testing procedures and criteria for monitoring and isolation. Symptoms of COVID-19 may include fever, cough and shortness of breath consistent with pneumonia or other respiratory illness. Anyone with these symptoms, and traveled to an area with the virus is circulating, or have had close contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive, should contact their health care provider prior to visiting a health care facility. The county has established an information line. The number is (928) 679-7300. Information is also on the county’s website at coconino.az.gov.
