The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 34-year-old man. Michael Don Adams was last seen on foot on March 17th at around 6 a.m. near the Sitgreaves National Forest Boundary on Forest Road 34. The next day, Adams phoned to say he was on a back road near Winslow and was trying to get back to Winslow in order to hitch a ride to Flagstaff. Adams is a Native American man, standing five-feet-eight-inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his head, face, and hands and was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a basketball style jersey, and a backpack. Adams is known to have friends in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Second Mesa and may be hitchhiking south of Winslow on State Route 99.
