Coconino Boys Win At Home, Girls Fall On The Road Against Shadow Mountain Tuesday

A day after playing Seton Catholic, the Coconino men’s and women’s basketball teams were back on the court Tuesday against the Shadow Mountain Matadors. The Panther boys team got out to a good start and never looked back as they used a 15-0 run in the second quarter en route to a 79-49 win at home over the Matadors. Mitchell Jacobson led Coconino with 15 points and Ivory Washington had ten points and four steals in the win. Eleven Panthers scored at least two points in the game. The women traveled to Phoenix to battle Shadow Mountain. They came home with a 40-35 loss. Both boys and girls teams will travel to Prescott Valley to take on the Bradshaw Mountain Bears Thursday night.
