Preston Olney scored 23 points, including 12 points on four, three-pointers in the third quarter, to lead the Coconino Panthers to a 56-34 win over the Flagstaff Eagles in Game One of the Flagstaff City Rivalry in boys basketball Tuesday night at Flagstaff High School. With the win, Coconino improves its record to 5-0 on the season. Nick Sneazy and Nick Morrow each scored 13 points for the Eagles, who have lost four in a row. Flagstaff plays at Mohave and Coconino hosts Prescott, both on Thursday, before the Panthers and Eagles meet again Saturday afternoon at Coconino. We will have that game on KAFF Country 93.5/AM 930 starting with the pregame show at 3:45 p.m. In the girls game, Gracelyn Nez scored 23 points to lead the Eagles to a 80-65 win over Coconino. Kiana Manuelito scored 26 for the Panthers, who lost both meetings with the Eagles this year.
