Zach Bennett had 29 carries for 165 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Coconino Panthers to their fourth straight win over Flagstaff, beating the Eagles 28-7 to win the Flagstaff City Championship. The Panthers amassed 408 yards of total offense and held the Eagles offense scoreless. The Eagles only score came off a 47 yard fumble return for a touchdown by Marcus Salcido. Not only was it the fourth straight city title, but the second straight 4A Grand Canyon Region title and the 16th straight region win for the Panthers. Both Flagstaff and Coconino will play in the 4A Play-in Round next Friday night. The Panthers are the number-three seed and will host the 14th-seed Estrella Foothills Falcons. We will have that game starting at 6:30 p.m. on KAFF Country 93.5/AM 930. The Eagles are the 12th-seeded and will travel to the valley to battle fifth-seeded American Leadership Academy Queen Creek Friday night.
