Cliff Castle Casino in the Verde Valley will be holding an on-site emergency preparedness drill Tuesday morning. Emergency responders from the Yavapai-Apache Police Department, Camp Verde Marshall’s Office and Copper Canyon Fire and Medical District will be on hand to go through a real life scenario for training purposes. Casino officials say the casino floor will be closed from seven to nine a.m. and that hotel guests can remain on the property in the casino’s event center. Officials say the training will “offer unique opportunities for all involved. Specifically, it will allow circumstances to be experienced, which would otherwise not be possible if held in an empty building or in a large outdoor area.” If you plan to be at the casino or hotel Tuesday, be aware that it will be just a drill.
