The City of Flagstaff’s Sustainability Office will be hosting two community events within the next few weeks for Flagstaff residents. The Fix-it Clinic will happen on Saturday at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center at 245 North Thorpe Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The clinic allows Flagstaff residents to bring in their small household appliances, clothing, electronics, jewelry, and bicycles with damage to be fixed by a volunteer. The Hazardous Products Center will also be at this event to accept light bulbs, batteries, and aerosol cans. Those who make an appointment to get an item fixed will be served before walk-ins. During the presentation, residents will hear from an instructor on why cold weather heat pumps are effective and cost-efficient. The webinar will begin at 5:30 p.m. with time for questions from the public at the end. To learn more and register for the webinar, click here.
