Chino Valley Police were in a stand off with a barricaded suspect, who broke a protection order Tuesday. Police responded to a home in the 100 block of North Fire Sky Lane at around 2:33 a.m. Yavapai County Sheriff’s dispatch says they received a 911 text message saying 49-year-old Scot Haynes broke a protection order and strangled people in the home. When officers arrived they saw lights on in the home and knocked on the door. Officers heard movement in the home and all the lights were turned off. After attempts to contact the people in the home, Yavapai County SWAT was called to the scene. After about four hours, contact was made and the occupants exited the home. A female victim was treated for her injuries and Haynes was arrested. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault and interference with judicial proceedings.
