Prescott Valley Police arrested a Chino Valley man last weekend for impersonating a police officer. Officers responded to the Walmart Store on Glassford Hill Road last Saturday after a caller told police there was a white male in a full-sized, red Dodge truck with flashing red and blue lights in the parking lot, talking to a woman who was panhandling on the corner. The man had a badge and a gun on his hip and identified himself as a police officer. The person said he told the man he was calling the police. The suspect fled the area, but the person got his license plate number, which came back to an address in Chino Valley. With the help of Chino Valley Police, officers arrested Kenneth Gregory without incident. Several items recovered at the scene include a badge, gun, gun belt and the red and blue lights that were suction cupped to the inside of the front window of the truck. Impersonating a police officer is a class six felony in Arizona. If you or someone you know has had contact with Gregory, contact Prescott Valley Police at (928) 772-9257.
