A car accident Saturday morning, led to a burglary and the arrests of two teens in Prescott Valley. At around 5:30 a.m., police were called to a single vehicle accident on Viewpoint Drive between Manley and Roundup drives. The vehicle was empty when officers arrived and all that was noticeable was that the vehicle had rolled several times before coming to rest. Later that morning, two teens came to the police station with obvious injuries and reported they had been attacked and beaten while parked at Fain Park at around 2 a.m. During the investigation, the two changed their stories and said they had been hurt in a car accident and left the scene. They later admitted to entering the car owner’s home and stealing the car. The accident happened while they were joyriding. Police arrested 18-year-old Carson Edward West and 18-year-old Rylan Scott Compson, both from Prescott Valley. They were booked on charges of auto theft, burglary and criminal damage and sent to the YCSO Camp Verde Detention Center.
