Visitation at Yavapai Regional Medical Center is changing, starting Wednesday. Dignity Health is allowing only limited in-person visitation for COVID-positive patients in isolation at its hospitals in Prescott and Prescott Valley. Dignity Health marketing director Ken Boush says “allowing in-person visitation for patients in isolation provides peace-of-mind for our patients and their families while allowing for more effective communication with our staff.” COVID unit visitation may take place between two and four p.m. daily in non-critical care units, with visitation in critical care between three and four p.m. daily. Only one designated family member may visit. Visitors will have to watch a video on how to properly apply and remove PPE while visiting and masks are mandatory while in the hospital. If you have any questions, contact Yavapai Regional Medical Center at (928) 445-2700 or log onto dignityhealth.org/YRMC. The new visitation guidelines will be monitored closely and may be revised based on future developments. As of Tuesday, YRMC Prescott had 38 COVID positive patients, while the Prescott Valley hospital had 18.
