Both Pipeline And Haywire Fires Are Inching Closer To Full Containment Near Flagstaff

Both the Pipeline and Haywire fires are inching closer to full containment. There still remains over 26-thousand acres that have burned on the Pipeline Fire, however, containment is now up to 85-percent. Nearly 56-hundred acres have burned on the Haywire Fire with now 70-percent containment. Fire crews continue working on strengthening containment lines and help rehabilitate the existing trail system and repairing roads used to battle the fire earlier in the week. With the incoming thunderstorm activity anticipated through the weekend and into next week, the initial attack group will remain poised to quickly respond to any spotting over the line or new starts near the fire area to minimize increasing fire growth. There are nearly 500 firefighters currently working the two fires.
