The announcement was made by Prescott Valley Town Manager Gilbert Davidson, who also announced that the current Acting Chief Jeremy Martin will be promoted to Commander. The new Chief of Police role will be filled by Bob Ticer, former Arizona Department of Public Safety Commander and Loveland, Colorado Police Chief. Ticer began his career as a patrol officer in Prescott, but worked his way up to Chief of Police first in Avon, Colorado, and currently Loveland, Colorado where he has been since 2016.
