A man is in serious condition after he collided with a moving vehicle while riding his bicycle Wednesday morning in Prescott. Police responded to the scene in the area of Highway 89A and Granite Dells Parkway at around 6:30 a.m. When officers arrived they learned that a 50-year-old Prescott man was riding his bicycle eastbound on the right shoulder approaching Granite Dells Parkway. That’s when a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Paulden man, also heading eastbound and exiting the parkway, drifted off the roadway onto the shoulder and hit the bicyclist. The driver of the vehicle reported that he didn’t see the man due to the sun being in his eyes. The bicyclist was airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital treatment. The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation in connection with the accident.
