At least two people were killed, and five others were injured, three seriously, after the small plane they were in crashed into Lake Powell Saturday. The NTSB says a Cessna T207A Turbo Stationair 8 sightseeing plane went down into the lake, on the Utah side of the lake, and sank in about 120 feet of water. The FAA says the pilot reported engine trouble before going down. Of the five injured, three are said to have suffered serious injuries. Kane County Sheriff’s officials in Utah say the plane carried six French tourists plus the pilot. They say the plane was out of Page and it went down near Face Canyon at around 5:30 p.m. The pilot and witnesses were able to get four passengers out of the water and into boats after the crash. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
