The numbers are in for an historic weather month for Northern Arizona. The National Weather Service says February of 2019 was one of the wettest on record. Flagstaff saw 71.3 inches of snow in the month, which is the second snowiest February ever. The city saw just over six-and-a-half inches of total precipitation, making it the fourth wettest. Prescott saw 22.4 inches of snow for the sixth snowiest February on record. Prescott also saw just under five inches of precipitation for the eighth wettest. Payson saw 38 inches of snow, which is the snowiest February in the town’s history. It looks like March may get off to a good start with a chance of rain expected through the middle of the week.
