ADOT crews will work this week to repair flood damaged sections of southbound Highway 89. Officials will narrow traffic to one lane for eight miles north of Flagstaff, from near the turnoff to Sunset Crater down just past Wupatki Trails, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Some pavement of the shoulder of Highway 89 has been damaged due to flood waters over the past few weeks thanks to Monsoon storms on post-fire burn areas. Drivers should anticipate delays and the speed limit will be reduced in the work zone. Officials remind travelers to proceed through the work zone with caution and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
