The Arizona Department of Transportation has announced they will be hosting a virtual meeting Wednesday to discuss the upcoming changes and improvements that will be made to State Route 89A in Oak Creek Canyon. The projects will include rockfall mitigation, drainage and sediment control, and bridge rehabilitation. Highway 89A will remain open to traffic during the project, with the exception of some daytime restrictions and overnight lane closures. During the meeting, ADOT will give the public opportunities to ask questions online or via phone. The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2023. To participate in this meeting, join online at azdot.gov/SR89A, using password ADOT2022.
