Saturday marks the beginning of National Parks Week. To celebrate the occasion, the National Park Service is offering free admission to all National Parks on Saturday. Grand Canyon National Park spokeswoman Joelle Baird says they’re expecting a lot of people will take advantage free admission. “It’s also a holiday weekend for many and there’s also a lot of schools on Spring Break with it being Easter weekend,” Baird says. She adds, “we are expecting higher visitation this weekend compared to normal.” TripAdvisor.com has ranked “Americans 10 Favorite National Parks” with the Grand Canyon ranked second, right behind Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska. If you’re going to the Grand Canyon this weekend, Baird advises you plan ahead and arrive as early as possible. All National Parks in Arizona will be free to get in on Saturday.
