The Coconino County Board of Supervisors has unanimously named its top candidate to replace Supervisor Matt Ryan in District Three. Adam Hess of Bellemont was the board’s top choice at Tuesday’s board meeting. Board Chairman Jeronimo Vasquez says “we feel Mr. Hess is the best candidate to hit the ground running in this very short appointment,” He adds, “his leadership experience from his military service and his desire to return to where he grew up and serve his community will enable him to represent District 3 immediately upon official appointment.” Hess is a recently retired 27-year veteran of the U.S. Army and has been a Coconino County resident since 1976. Supervisor Ryan’s final meeting on the board will be Tuesday, December 19th. Hess will officially appointed at the Board’s regular meeting on Tuesday, January 9th.
