A woman was fatally shot by Prescott Police Wednesday after she reportedly was threatening bank employees, while armed with a weapon. Prescott Police responded to the Wells Fargo Bank on the 31-hundred block of Willow Creek Road at around 5:22 p.m. When officers arrived, one officer found the female suspect still in the bank. The initial contact resulted in the officer utilizing lethal force against the suspect. She was treated on scene for gunshot injuries and was later taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead a short time later. The officer was not physically injured. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is conducting the investigation.
