A Prescott Man Is Found Guilty Of Fleeing Police During A 2022 Traffic Stop

A Prescott man will be sentenced next month after being found guilty in connection with fleeing a traffic stop, and stealing a vehicle in the process back in 2022. The incident began in the afternoon of February 16th, 2022 as a police officer recognized 28-year-old Raymond Jacob Kosse as a person of interest in an open investigation during a traffic stop. Instead of complying with commands to get out of the vehicle, he fled and eventually crashed. A foot chase ensued, but Kosse then stole another vehicle to get away. He then crashed that vehicle and fled on foot again. However, he was eventually tackled by several citizens who saw him running from police. Last Thursday he was found guilty of theft of means of transportation, unlawful flight from law enforcement, criminal damage and criminal trespass. He is scheduled to be sentenced June 28th in a Yavapai County Superior Court. Kosse faces a minimum of just over 11 years in prison.
