A Nineteen-Year-Old Is Arrested After Allegedly Firing On Two YCSO Detectives Saturday Night In Humboldt

Two Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were fired upon during a traffic stop Saturday night in Humboldt. Officials say a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the JT Septic parking lot Saturday at around 9:30. While conducting a narcotics investigation and waiting for a K9, the deputies heard two gunshots from close range that were fired in their direction. They closed the investigation and let the driver leave and turned their attention on the gunshots. The deputies were able to find 19-year-old Joshua Booth and his vehicle. After finding multiple firearms and shell casings lying next to the driver inside the vehicle, Booth was arrested. He has been booked on several felonies including aggravated assault and weapons charges. The incident is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.
