The Cornville Fire is nearing close to containment. Fire officials say the fire is now 92-percent contained and has burned 1,240 acres. Officials say the fire had very little activity and is putting small amounts of smoke from time to time. The start of the fire was on the side of Cornville Road on Coconino National Forest land and rapidly spread throughout Sunday. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
