A Man Was Seriously Injured After Hitting A Semi, Then Was Ejected From His Vehicle And Fell Over An Overpass Onto I-17 In Flagstaff

A man has been hospitalized with serious injuries after the vehicle he was in, rear-ended a semi-truck on eastbound Interstate-40 at the Interstate-17 transition Tuesday night. DPS says the two-vehicle accident happened just after 7 p.m. The driver was in a Chrysler 200, when the accident happened. The force of the collision ejected the driver from the vehicle and over the overpass onto I-17 below. DPS says motorists found him laying on the right shoulder of I-17. He was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. The accident is under investigation and DPS says they have not ruled out impairment as a factor in the accident.
