A Flash Flood Watch Is In Effect Until 9 P.M. For Much Of Northern Arizona

There’s a Flash Flood Watch in effect for 9 p.m. for most of Northern Arizona, including Flagstaff and Prescott. The National Weather Service says some storms could produce heavy rain over a short amount of time, which could cause flash flooding in creeks, normally dry washes and over recently burned areas. The watch area is for much of Coconino County, Yavapai County, northern Gila County and far southern Navajo and Apache counties. If you have travel plans for the rest of the day, be alert for changing weather conditions.
